GATE notification 2011 for pharmacy

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all-India examination conducted in eight zones across the country by the GATE Committee comprising faculty from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordinating Board – GATE, Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India.
You can get admission in Master’s programme in Pharmacy (M.Pharma) through the GATE exam.

To get admission, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2) or appearing in the Final year examination of B. Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2).

Important dates (tentative):
Online application website opens: 17th January, 2011, Monday
Online application website closes: 21st February, 2011, Monday
Last date for receipt of photo, signature, bank challan as a proof of payment for examination fees along with the printout of application: 28th February, 2011, Monday
Date of examination: 8th May, 2011, Sunday

Candidates can get the application form and Information Brochure by post or personally from GPAT office counter should obtain a demand draft (in favor of “GPAT”) for Rs 1000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PD) payable at Bank of Baroda, Vadodara and get the application form from the official website and send the filled application form to the address Registered or Speed post to:

The examination will be of 3 hours containing 100 questions carrying a maximum of 100 marks. The question paper will have multiple choice objective-type questions. Each question will have four options.
